Stirring forth from the elemental forces of the oldest life, guardians emerged from the depths of the trees themselves. Wise and noble protectors we know of now as Heartwood Elves. King Düramen stepped fist upon the earth, then dozens more. Brings borne of bark and wood, twig and leaf, root and branch. Together these ancient elves fought back and contained the primordial havoc, naming it Soul Blight, and binding it deep beneath the living world. Now, these ancient beings are naught but the faded memory of long forgotten fairy tales.
